GEAC Grant Program

The purpose of the GEAC Grant Program is to encourage enrichment of the classroom-related learning experience for LWSD’s highly capable students, above and beyond the standard LWSD curriculum.

The Grant Program creates a chance for teachers to think and dream, collaborate, search, and decide what resources will best support their ongoing efforts to engage and motivate their highly capable learners.

Our Grants Program is 100% covered by GEAC membership!

Our fall grants timeline this year is as follows:

  • Application Opens: Now – Apply Here

  • Application Closes: Sunday, October 19, 2025

  • Application Review: October 20–24 (by the GEAC grant committee)

  • Grant Decisions Announced: By October 31, 2025

GEAC typically offers two grant application sessions per school year. Teachers can apply for grants in the fall and in the spring.

GEAC’s Grant Program makes available funding for enhancements chosen by teachers - including, but not limited to, curriculum resources, excursions, and professional development. This fall we already supported LWSD Hi-Cap teachers with grants to attend WAETAG and Junior Great Books supplies, novel study books as well as enrichment materials for their classrooms.

Our Grants application window is OPEN for Fall!
