GEAC offers Parent Education for Gifted families once or twice a year as a service so you can enhance your knowledge and experience in raising highly capable students, helping them become all they can be!
“Guiding Your Gifted Child” and “Gifted Adolescent” Parent Education classes are again being offered by Gifted Education Advisory Council (GEAC), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. This 5-week series is led and facilitated by LWSD Quest Psychologist Sandy Malone-Long and is for any interested Parent.
The course is based on the Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG) model. The new book, A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children ©2007 is included in the class cost. Each week there will be time for questions and interactive problem solving as there are both “joys and challenges” to raising highly capable children.
You can also find the book on Amazon.com.
Classes run 5 Wednesday evenings, April 9 -May 7, 2008 6-8pm at the Resource Center in Redmond Town Center. Please contact Joanne Hall by email jjjahall@juno.com, or signup by , Monday, April 7.
