Advocacy - What it is and why GEAC does it

Advocacy is the process that GEAC uses to identify the issues that are impacting children in the Gifted Education community and then work to resolve those issues through community work and Legislature.

We are all involved with GEAC because we wanted to make a difference for children and Advocacy is one way that GEAC can make the biggest difference…IF enough of us are involved.

The goal of the GEAC Advocacy Team is to help members understand the issues impacting children and to provide easy ways to help because there are many who need your help to do Advocacy!

  • Provide input to the district regarding goals, objectives and general design of the Lake Washington School District (LWSD) highly capable education programs (K-12).
