Workplace Giving and Company Matching Donations

Company matching represents a significant portion of the total donations to GEAC – over 35% for the past few years. If you work for a company which provides matching gifts, please take the time to submit the request.  Please contact your personnel department for a donation matching form.  Please note that some companies have a minimum donation required for matching.

Where do donations go?

GEAC offers three core programs in support of students, teachers and parents:

  • Annual GEAC Grans to Quest Teachers
  • Fall Direct-to-Classroom Check for Quest Teachers
  • Professional Development, Education & Conferences

For more information on these three programs, please visit GEAC Programs.

Over the past 6 years, GEAC has contributed over $62,000 directly to Quest classrooms for special projects, field trips, books, technology and supplementary materials. Last year alone, close to $8,000 was made available to fund Annual GEAC Grant applications, and just this past August, each teacher received a check for $200 ($5,760 total) to start the school year. Throughout the year, GEAC also organizes, initiates, and funds educational classes, information sessions, and conferences for gifted families, and supplements professional development for Quest teachers.

Donations reach ALL Quest schools and every one of the program’s students – over 1,000.

This year our goal is to provide $9,000 in classroom grants, and your financial support is very important in helping to reach that goal.

These efforts are made possible only through the generous donation of time and dollars from our members, with matching and grant support from local companies like Microsoft, The Fred Meyer Foundation and Boeing.

Please consider joining us and helping further our children's education. Your annual donation will help us continue to support Quest classrooms and provide parent education and support.
